Coach Terms of Service

Platform overview
CoachDiscover is a marketplace that connects independent sports coaches with athletes. We provide booking, payments, and messaging tools, but coaching services are delivered solely by the coach. CoachDiscover is not a party to the coaching relationship.
Coach responsibilities
Coaches must hold any qualifications, insurance, and clearances required to coach in their listed sports. You agree to deliver sessions professionally, on time, and as described in your listings, and to keep your availability accurate.
Payment terms
Athlete payments are held in escrow and released to the coach after a session is marked complete. CoachDiscover retains a platform commission on each paid booking. Free intro sessions are limited per coach each calendar month.
Cancellation policy
Athletes cancelling 48 hours or more before a session receive a full refund of the session fee; under 48 hours, no refund. The platform service fee is non-refundable in all athlete-initiated cancellations. Coaches who cancel confirmed bookings issue a full athlete refund, including the service fee, and receive a cancellation strike. Cancelling a group session, which strands several athletes at once, counts as a heavier strike than cancelling a one-to-one session.
Coach cancellation charges
Because coach cancellations cause athlete refunds and non-recoverable payment-processing costs, CoachDiscover may apply a cancellation charge to the coach for each affected athlete, deducted from the coach's future payouts. Charges may be waived at CoachDiscover's discretion for genuine emergencies notified in good time. This does not apply to sessions cancelled by the athlete.
Account suspension
CoachDiscover may pause or suspend accounts that repeatedly cancel, receive serious complaints, or breach these terms. Cancellation strikes are counted over a rolling 90-day window; reaching three strike points in that window may result in your coach profile being paused pending review. A group-session cancellation carries more strike points than a one-to-one cancellation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of CoachDiscover are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
